About Koala Painting I – Koala in Tree Made from Ash

This modern artwork By Australian Artist Sarah Jane is a beautiful depiction of our Australian Wildlife. Clinging on to a tree a simplistic form of a koala is seen with a charcoal outline of its body amongst a background of earthy toned watercolours.

This is the first painting of our new series for 2020 titled Koala and a series we hope to continue as we pledge to donate 20% of all profits from the sale to Adelaide Koala Rescue. We hope this may help these beautiful animals recover and reestablish themselves after the devastating Kangaroo Island and Adelaide Hills Bushfires.

Drawing on the bushfires we have used ash from fire as the medium for this painting to create the fur like grey of the Koala. By doing this we hope to ensure that we never forget the tragedy for our wildlife with the loss of over a billion animals Australia wide.
